In the latest episode of “A Healthy Point of View” podcast, Sam Tejada, CEO and Founder of Liquivida® sits down with Ken Joslin, the powerhouse behind the CREATE Conference and the GSD (Get Stuff Done) movement, for a conversation that transcends business and dives deep into faith, health, leadership, and finding true purpose.
Ken Joslin’s journey is one of reinvention. Once a full-time pastor and church planter, Ken found himself transitioning into the world of real estate and entrepreneurship after life threw curveballs, including his daughter’s epilepsy diagnosis and a cross-state move for her treatment. But what truly ignited Ken’s current path was a spark from an unexpected source: a 2019 Instagram webinar with Grant Cardone.
From Pastor to Powerhouse: How Faith Built a Million-Dollar Movement | Ken Joslin | Ep. 68

Ken went from not knowing Grant to diving headfirst into Cardone’s mentorship, spending over $30,000 in just the first six weeks. But it wasn’t about the money; it was about mindset. Ken saw the power of vision and community in a business context and felt called to replicate that energy for faith-based entrepreneurs.
“When I was at 10X Bootcamp, I thought, ‘This is amazing—but there’s nothing like this for faith-based entrepreneurs.’ So, I created it.”
That led to CREATE, now the largest faith-based entrepreneur conference in the country, where vision meets action. Speakers like Ed Mylett, John Maxwell, and Gary Brecka inspire a crowd of nearly 500 every January, but the core message remains the same: your business growth must be built on a strong foundation; faith, health, relationships, business, and finances.
From Lost to Found: A Personal Faith Journey
Ken didn’t grow up in the church. He came to faith at 25, after being invited repeatedly by friends. When he finally attended a service, he was deeply moved and gave his life to Christ just two weeks later. The transformation was instant and visible.
“Old things passed away, all things became new. People could see the difference. If God could change me, He could change anybody.”
That change led him to lead youth ministries, grow thriving communities of faith, and mentor the next generation of leaders. His story is a testament to what happens when you answer the call of divine purpose and what it looks like to say yes to the unknown.
Vision Over Perishing
Ken references Proverbs 29:18 often: “Where there is no vision, people perish.” But he flips the script: “Where there is vision, people flourish.”
He believes that vision and the right relationships are essential for any entrepreneur. “It’s all about getting in the right rooms with people who think bigger than you,” Ken says. He preaches daily routines, goal-setting, and the importance of writing down your vision after spending quiet time with God.
At CREATE, he even incorporates guided journaling and worship between segments to help attendees anchor their goals in spiritual clarity.
Health, Leadership, and Living on Purpose
For Ken, purpose isn’t just about career direction; it’s about personal alignment. He’s lost over 100 pounds in body fat, and he credits small, disciplined actions for his transformation.
“Small, daily, disciplined decisions over time always equal monumental results. Success can’t escape you if you do the right things every day.”
Ken’s morning routine is sacred: wake up around 4:30 a.m., listen to worship music, journal, read scripture, and hit the gym. He calls this commitment “incremental, not monumental”, a practice of intentional, spiritual, and physical discipline that compounds into real change.
His health-first mindset is more than personal; it’s something he imparts to every entrepreneur and organization he works with. He reminds leaders that if they aren’t taking care of themselves, they’re also hurting their teams, their families, and their mission.
Building the Right Relationships
Another cornerstone of Ken’s philosophy? Proximity. His upcoming book, Proximity is a Cheat Code, explores how the right relationships can accelerate growth and healing. He shares story after story of mentors, leaders, and even chance encounters that profoundly shaped his life, from sixth-grade teachers to top officials in the NCAA.
“Find the best people in your field and get close to them. Proximity matters.”
But relationships aren’t just about networking. Ken warns against the rise of transactional behavior in today’s social media-driven world. He believes in authentic, service-minded leadership, wanting something for people, not from them.
Faith Across Beliefs
Despite being a devout Christian, Ken welcomes people of all backgrounds to his events, including Muslims, agnostics, and others who may not share his faith.
“We may believe differently, but that’s between them and God. I’m here to serve them.”
One of the most powerful stories he shares involves a woman grieving the loss of her nephew in Montana, only to discover that Ken’s videographer knew the boy and his family. That moment of divine coincidence reaffirmed Ken’s belief: everyone has a faith journey, even if they don’t know it yet.
The Core Five and Avoiding Burnout
Ken teaches entrepreneurs to focus on five core areas: faith, health, relationships, business, and finances. His Sunday ritual, what he calls the “Five R’s” (Rest, Relax, Replenish, Review, Refocus), is designed to help avoid burnout and remain grounded.
And he’s honest: without structure, purpose, and discipline, burnout is inevitable.
Living on Purpose, With Purpose
“If you need an alarm clock to get out of bed, your goals aren’t big enough,” Ken says.
Whether you’re a seasoned CEO or a budding entrepreneur, Ken Joslin’s journey offers a roadmap to aligning business with belief. His message? Purpose is powerful. Vision is vital. And discipline is divine.
