Vitamin patches are designed to deliver nutrients to the bloodstream through the skin — they have become all the rage among people who can’t swallow pills, forget to take them or have digestive issues.

One market research firm projected the global vitamin patch industry will grow from $6.6 billion to $10.4 billion over the next decade even as some medical experts have offered mixed reviews on their effectiveness.

South Florida’s booming market for compounded weight loss injections, replicating brands like Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro, meets soaring demand from both wellness practitioners and clients.

When it comes to career success, sleep is all too often an after-thought. Science, however, says otherwise—as do these entrepreneurs, executives, and other high performers.

Their stories prove that sleep is actually a must-have, not a nice-to-have, when it comes to achieving success and balance in both work and life.

You can’t receive with a closed hand so make sure you’re giving more than receiving. You simply have to give back. No matter how busy you are, you need to make time to help people with their needs. My mentors did it for me, and now I do it for others, including them!

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Issues that are caused by inflammation, hormone imbalance, and autoimmune issues might not be solved by your yearly visit to the doctor. Every day our body is exposed to toxins, experts say, that require us to take a better look at what’s happening inside our bodies. Functional health expert and author Sam Tejada joins PIX11 to discuss the effects of inflammation and recommends medicine to reduce health issues before they become serious.

Heating pads increase in temperature quickly and evenly, supplying relief to aching muscles and joints. No matter what your age or activity level, having one in your self-care arsenal is bound to come in handy.

These devices work by increasing blood flow to aching muscles and improving the elasticity of connective tissues. Studies show that heat therapy is beneficial for reducing lower back pain, muscle soreness, and menstrual cramps. Heating pads have lots of other uses, too. In the list below, we’ve identified the best heating pads, keeping budget in mind and including input from medical experts.

Vitamin patches, also known as transdermal patches, are widely available online from sources like PatchMD, PatchAid, NutriPatch, and myriad others available on Amazon and holistic wellness-focused sites. They all claim that their vitamin formulas, none of which are regulated or tested by the FDA, are absorbed directly into the bloodstream. Most companies claim that the patches are ideal because they subvert consumption-based issues such as food allergies.

Once associated only with ambulances and hospital stays, IV therapy is now just as common within the growing world of wellness clinics and medical spas. Since 2022, more than a dozen IV drip centers and med spas offering the service have opened in the Houston area.

Touted as a treatment for anything from hangovers to the flu, IV vitamin therapy centers are expanding across the country and have been used by celebrities including Rihanna, Madonna and Cindy Crawford.

Why is this subject, “How To Win In Modern Wellness,” important in the world?

During the summer months, people are used to enjoying the sun, doing outdoor activities, and taking vacation time. But as the seasons change, you will notice that your mood does too. When fall and winter rolls around, people are inclined to hibernate, have less energy to do activities, and struggle to adapt to more cloudy and colder weather. This causes people to become more tired, more anxious, and have an increased chance of experiencing depression.

A Senate committee hearing this week once again delved into the issue of high-priced prescription drugs – in this case, one class of drugs in particular.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) noted that Novo Nordisk’s a weight loss drug Ozempic sells for $969 a month in the U.S. but for $155 in Canada, $122 in Denmark, $71 in France, and $59 in Germany.

Sam says he was able to maintain the majority of his weight loss by being active and making healthy diet choices. But when his work travel picked up, he had trouble keeping up with his nutrition and exercise routines and started to regain some weight.

There has been a huge drive to get people drinking more water in recent years – but how much is too much?

Sales of massive 40-ounce water bottles like Stanleys have surged by more than 80 percent in just four years, totaling more than $750 million.

Imagine a world where your daily routine is an unsuspecting source of danger. Each morning, as you roll out of bed, the very products you use, and the environment you live in, could be quietly undermining your health. This isn’t the plot of a dystopian novel; it’s a reality that functional health expert and author Sam Tejada discussed in a revealing interview with PIX11. His insights into the silent threats of inflammation, hormone imbalance, and autoimmune issues offer a compelling case for reevaluating our approach to health beyond the traditional yearly doctor’s visit.

Counting calories, reading labels, and avoiding certain foods are common ways to diet, but there is another weight-loss method people are turning to: intermittent fasting (IF). While many diets focus on what you can and can’t eat, intermittent fasting is all about when you can.

You restrict what time of day you eat and how many hours between meals, and it’s a wellness trend that continues to generate buzz.

Over the last year, weight loss medications such as GLP-1s (such as compounded semaglutide, Ozempic or Wegovy) have become diet culture staples. A-list celebrities and media personalities like Elon Musk have credited their staggering weight loss formations to these “miracle” medications, which were once only intended for diabetes. Not only do they help regulate blood sugar,  but oftentimes, they aid in weight loss.

With the “notox” trend taking off on social media, there are so many new ingredients, serums and creams that influencers claim to be better than Botox. The latest? Flaxseed masks. In the midst of chaos and crisis, heroes emerge, their courage etched in the annals of history. Yet, for Sam, heroism transcends the battlefield or burning buildings; it manifests in a steadfast commitment to improving lives long after the flames have dimmed.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Tejada and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sam, how does your business help the community?

In the fast-paced world of business-to-business (B2B) interactions, staying ahead of the curve is crucial. Sam Tejada, President and Founder of Liquivida®, shared his insights on a recent podcast episode with Men’s Health Unscripted, emphasizing the importance of innovative health solutions in the corporate sector. While the transcript of this podcast provides a detailed look into Sam’s thoughts, let’s explore the key takeaways and how they could revolutionize the way businesses approach wellness.

Why is this subject, “How To Win In Modern Wellness,” important in the world?

Simply put, “health is wealth.” Health and wellness are really our most valuable assets as individuals and as nations. Covid certainly proved that. And now, people don’t want to just manage sickness. Of course, there is a need for reactive sick care, but the pursuit today is about achieving optimal health. Prevention is key. So you don’t get sick.  A proactive, preventative approach to health allows people to live a better quality of life and even potentially avoid future chronic illnesses. Right now, here in the United States, specifically, diseases like obesity and hypertension are at an all-time high.

When Sam Tejada, President and Founder of Liquivida, realized the toll his busy entrepreneurial life had taken on his health, he recognized the importance of prioritizing his own well-being in order to effectively represent his growing health and wellness franchise. Leading by example, Sam embarked on “The Vida Journey,” a transformative quest to regain control of his life and revitalize himself.

Liquivida’s President and Founder, Sam Tejada, and Director of Strategic Initiatives, Corey Jacobs, joined Inside South Florida to share what the organization can do to help you prioritize your well-being.
Sam Tejada is a man on a mission. From a young age, he knew he wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. Tejada is the founder of Liquivida, “a wellness spa for the health conscious” offering cutting-edge services that cater to the modern wellness consumer.
When Samael Tejada set out on a career to be a firefighter/paramedic, he achieved that goal, made a fairly decent salary, had benefits and a pension, and saved many lives in that 12+ year career. That did not make him successful.
If you look at the founders of some franchises, most actually, you see the same picture: same gender, same age, same sexual orientation, and same skin color. Especially for a wellness industry that claims to want to make you look and feel your best, the sameness can be intimidating and even discrediting. How can someone who looks nothing like you help you find your best self?
Considering the number of ads for “Side Jobs for Firefighters,” it is safe to say that many professional firefighters work second and even third jobs on their days off to supplement their income. Choosing a second job can be tricky when your primary one is physically and mentally strenuous. If both firefighters’ jobs are physical in nature, they’ll experience burnout fast.
Liquivida’s President and founder, Samael Tejada, showed off his industry expertise when he announced new safety mechanisms and protocols for IV therapy clinics across the county at the first-ever IV BizBash in Orlando, Florida.
Lots of founders claim they launched their company to help people, but Sam Tejada, founder of Liquivida, a preventive health company known for intravenous (IV) vitamin therapy, has made his career helping people when they need help the most.
While more IV providers pop up across state lines offering concierge in-home services and mobile IV’s at events or on the go, industry leaders aim to standardize the way medical professionals administer IV therapy solutions in a wide range of settings. At the conference, medical entrepreneurs responded with hunger, determined to learn best practices from companies operating knee deep with great success in the space.
Liquivida’s CEO & Founder Sam Tejada recently participated as a speaker at the first-ever IV BizBash last month in Orlando. He announced a round of revamped safety mechanisms and protocols for IV therapy clinics to implement across the United States.

Liquivida’s newest strategic partner has an innovative solution that enhances the success of Liquivida’s vitamin IV therapy and intramuscular injections.
As a result, many entrepreneurs and investors are flocking to the wellness space and are met with a myriad of options, ranging from senior healthcare, to energy healing. Because many of the practices are likely to be discredited or lose popularity over time, it can be difficult to know what to look for when searching for an investment opportunity.
Liquivida’s President & CEO, Sam Tejada, joined The Action and Ambition Podcast and explained how sustainable health and wellness can be achieved by knowing the body and caring for it through targeted nutrition and a combination of preventative and functional medicine.
Sam Tejada, shares his story about how he went from the idea to the execution of the growing Liquivida’s business model and brand.
