One notable initiative was AIVA’s Media Day event in May, which drew over a thousand viewers and included participants from across the globe. This platform connected industry leaders, medical professionals, and regulators, allowing for comprehensive discussions on IV hydration’s benefits, safety standards, and future challenges. Due to the success and feedback from this event, AIVA decided to expand its reach with a second Media Day in October, with a specific focus on regulatory issues within the IV therapy landscape.

The October Media Day event reflected AIVA’s proactive stance on safety and regulation. David Light highlighted how various U.S. states have started to establish guidelines for IV therapy, influencing the association’s priorities for industry standards.
